What areas do you cover?​

We're based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire but can cover all of Yorkshire plus the neighbouring counties. Please note there may be an extra cost for travel outside of Yorkshire depending on distance.

 

What is the minimum age for the magic show?​

We would suggest that the magic show works best for children between the ages of 4 and 9 as that's the age that children tend to appreciate the magic the most. Of course it's lots of fun for older children and adults too and Jonty has been known to bring a grown-up onto the stage to assist him in a trick from time to time!

Please do ensure that younger children are supervised at all times during the show to minimise disruption.

Is there a limit on the amount of guests?​

No, the more the merrier! Please do take into account the size of your party venue though, especially when booking the mini disco package.

Is it better to have the magic show before the children sit down to eat?​

Yes definitely. Children can be restless after eating which can make running a show afterwards very difficult. For birthday parties, Jonty usually ends his performance by magically producing a 'birthday cake' for the birthday child. This leads perfectly into bringing out the real cake for the candles to be blown out, wrapping up the entertainment smoothly before party food is served.

Do I need to provide anything?​

No, we bring all our tricks, balloons, prizes and disco equipment with us, you just have to provide the venue, food and the guests!

For the mini-disco package, we will need access to a nearby electrical socket so the equipment can be plugged in.

Do you need any set up time?

Ideally we need about 30 minutes to set the show up, maybe a bit longer if you've booked the mini-disco. We normally aim to get to your location an hour before the show is due to start.

Please also allow us some parking space as close to the venue doors as possible as we have a lot of equipment to bring in.

How much space do you need?​

The magic show on it's own works just as well in a small living room or a larger hall or club. We bring our own PA system with us to ensure the show can be heard over the chatter in a larger room.

If you are booking the mini-disco package, please ensure that the party is held in a room large enough to allow for the kids to be able to dance and run around without hurting themselves. It would also be necessary to have curtains or blinds that will close as the disco lighting effects work best in a darker room.

Are haze and bubbles safe in the mini-disco?​

Smoke and bubbles are a great option to have in the mini-disco as they really help to set off the lights and add to the atmosphere.

We use these sparingly to ensure safety, however not all venues allow them due to the risk of the haze setting fire alarms off and the possibility that the bubbles may make the floor slippy. So do please check with the venue first to make sure these effects are allowed. Don't worry if they're not, the disco will be just as fun for the kids without them!

Do you require a deposit?​

Yes please. A non-refundable deposit of £50 will be required on confirmation of booking, this will ensure your chosen date is kept free for you. The remaining payment is due any time up to or on the day of the show. The deposit can be made by bank transfer, details of which will be in your confirmation letter.​​​​​​​​​
